As Singapore’s athletic industry and population ages, there is a greater emphasis on health and active lives, as physical activity can help prevent and treat a variety of ailments. As a result, there is an increasing demand for expertise in sport and exercise science. Exercise and sport are inextricably tied to the Health Promotion Board-Singapore’s (Health Promotion Board, 2017) preventative and intervention methods, as well as the Singapore Sports Council’s (Sport Singapore, 2017) dedication to Singapore’s athletic performance.
